The East Williston School District community has approved the budget for the 2024-2025 school year with a strong show of support.
Budget Propositions:
Proposition #1 - Budget:
Passed with 1,018 votes in favor and 478 against.
Proposition #2 - Capital Reserve Fund Transfer:
Passed with 1,210 votes in favor and 350 against.
Proposition #3 - Capital Reserve Fund Expenditure:
Passed with 1,210 votes in favor and 345 against.

Key Improvements and Additions
Real-World Learning and Career Support
High School Courses: Students can look forward to new and enhanced courses like a student-run business class and a LEAD course, which will help them explore career paths and gain practical skills.
Mental Health Support
New Psychologist: To support students' social and emotional well-being, a new districtwide psychologist will be hired.
Team Building for 8th Graders
Project Adventure Program: This program will help 8th graders develop teamwork skills and build stronger friendships.
New School Start Times
Better Rest for Students: Adjusting school start times to help students get more rest and perform better academically.
Professional Development for Teachers
Ongoing Training: Teachers will have ongoing training opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest educational practices.
World Language Program for Young Students
