Herricks Troop 201 Kicks Off Summer with Exciting Week at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco

By Jenny Rolston

The scouts of Herricks Troop 201 kicked off their summer vacation in July with an exciting week at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco in Northern New Jersey. This year, nine new scouts joined the troop for their first summer camp experience. Despite a stormy arrival, the scouts enjoyed a variety of activities including swimming, hiking, nightly campfires, playing games, and earning merit badges in everything from first aid and fishing to movie making and kayaking.

The scouts had a blast with this year’s theme, “NoBe Gets a Clue,” and solved a mystery in the tradition of the classic board game Clue. They also earned special patches by participating in the early morning Polar Bear Swim and the Sunrise Hike. It was a fantastic way to start off the summer!
