Celebrating Excellence: Girl Scouts of Nassau County Honor Gold Award Recipients

The Girl Scouts of Nassau County held a momentous Gold Award Ceremony on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Hofstra University. This prestigious event recognized the remarkable achievements of four dedicated members of the Herricks Association of Girl Scouts Troop 1106, who earned the highest honor in Girl Scouting—the Gold Award.

Troop Leaders Barbara-Baur Rizzo and Bhavna Mathews expressed immense pride in the four girls for their dedication and hard work in achieving this significant milestone.
Elizabeth Baranello and Madison Rizzo's accomplishments are particularly noteworthy, as they embarked on their Girl Scout journey as Kindergartners at Herricks and continued their commitment to the organization until graduating as Seniors. Their journey exemplifies the dedication and perseverance required to reach the pinnacle of Girl Scouting.
