Williston Park Fire Department Trains with New Extrication Tools
By John Clarke
The Williston Park Fire Department recently conducted training sessions with their new extrication tools, ensuring that the team is fully equipped and prepared for emergency situations.
These tools are critical for safely and efficiently rescuing individuals trapped in vehicles or other hazardous environments. The training not only familiarized the firefighters with the equipment but also reinforced their commitment to providing the highest level of service and safety to the community.
The Williston Park Fire Department is actively seeking new volunteers from within our community! If you’re a village resident between the ages of 18 and 45, this is your chance to make a difference. After completing a medical and background check, you’ll receive hands-on training in firefighting and medical rescue.
With 85 members strong, our team drills every 2nd Sunday morning and 4th Tuesday night. If you’re interested in joining, stop by the firehouse any Tuesday night at 7:30 PM to learn more. Volunteering is a rewarding way to give back to your community—thank you for considering this opportunity! Please contact The Williston Park Fire Department at chiefs.wpfd@gmail.com.
