The weekend of October 18-19 was a special time for Chaminade High School as more than 100 members of the Class of 1974 returned to Mineola to celebrate their 50th reunion. Known as the “Flyers Forever” weekend, this four-day event brought together alumni to rekindle lifelong friendships and relive cherished memories, all while supporting their alma mater.

The festivities began with a meaningful ceremony at the 80th Annual Gold Star Mass, honoring the 56 alumni who sacrificed their lives in service to our country. The solemn gathering was a powerful reminder of the legacy of Chaminade graduates who have served with distinction and courage.

Throughout the weekend, alumni enjoyed several dinners filled with laughter, stories, and reconnections. The reunion culminated in a Varsity Football game at Chaminade’s stadium, where attendees cheered on the current Flyers, showing that the school spirit of the Class of ’74 is as strong as ever.

In an extraordinary gesture of support, the class donated over $200,000 to Chaminade’s annual fund. This generous contribution will help ensure that future generations of Flyers continue to receive an exceptional education and the support they need to reach new heights.

The Class of 1974’s 50th reunion was a heartwarming celebration of community, legacy, and the unbreakable bond of Flyers forever.
