The East Williston Union Free School District, led by Superintendent Dr. Danielle Gately, has been accepted into the prestigious League of Innovative Schools. This national network, organized by Digital Promise, connects forward-thinking school districts that are committed to educational excellence and innovation. This acceptance places East Williston among a select group of districts recognized for their leadership in advancing equity and transforming learning experiences for students.

A Platform for Growth and Collaboration

Membership in the League of Innovative Schools provides the district with access to unique professional development opportunities and partnerships. Dr. Danielle Gately will represent East Williston in the League, where she will collaborate with superintendents and district leaders from over 150 school districts nationwide, serving 4.4 million students across 34 states.

Through this platform, the district will:

  • Attend Biannual Convenings: Engage in school visits, discussions, and networking opportunities with other League members.

  • Participate in Pilot Programs: Co-design and test new learning models that can then be adapted to meet the specific needs of East Williston students.

  • Share and Learn Best Practices: Work with other districts to develop strategies that address key challenges such as technology integration, equity, and personalized learning.

Advancing Education through Innovation

“We are excited to join a network of dynamic and pioneering districts,” said Dr. Gately. “This opportunity will allow us to collaborate with other educational leaders, share our own successes, and bring back innovative practices that will further enhance the learning experience for our students.”

Through this collaboration, East Williston will have a stronger platform to explore solutions that bridge research, practice, and technology, ultimately helping to shape the future of education.

A Step Towards the Future

The League officially welcomed East Williston at its Fall Convening from September 30 to October 2 in Lindsay, California. As new members, the district is poised to make a significant impact by contributing to ongoing discussions and projects that explore how to better prepare students for success in an ever-evolving world. The new members’ entrance into the League contributes toward the network’s reach of more than 150 districts across 34 states and expands its cumulative impact to 4.4 million students served over time.

With Dr. Gately at the helm, East Williston is committed to leveraging these new partnerships to continue leading in educational innovation and excellence, benefiting not just its students but the wider community.
