By Williston Post Staff

Last week, Michael Mazur, a dedicated and innovative educator at North Side School, was honored with the AssetNY Bright Light 2025 award for his outstanding contributions to digital education.

Mazur, who teaches Elementary Digital Design, has redefined how young students engage with technology by integrating programming, graphic design, writing, research, and digital literacy into his curriculum. Using platforms such as Skill Struck, Adobe Express, KidOYO, Canva, and robotics, he fosters a hands-on, project-based learning environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

His approach not only equips students with essential tech skills but also instills a strong sense of responsible digital citizenship, preparing them to navigate an increasingly digital world.

"Michael’s ability to inspire and engage students through technology is truly remarkable," said Jamie Pandolf, Principal at North Side Elementary School. "He is shaping the future of education by giving students the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving world."

The AssetNY Bright Light recognition celebrates educators who push the boundaries of traditional teaching and embrace innovative learning techniques. Mazur’s work is a testament to the power of integrating technology into education to create dynamic, future-ready classrooms.

Congratulations to Michael Mazur on this well-deserved recognition!
