Save the Date for #friendswhogive 9th Annual Giving Event
By Jennifer Galanga
This holiday season, the spirit of giving is alive and well in our community! #friendswhogive will be hosting its 9th Annual Giving Event, dedicated to helping families in need within the Mineola School District.
On Saturday, December 7th, from 9 AM to 12 PM, all are invited to join local students at 337 Wilson Boulevard in Mineola to contribute to this heartfelt initiative. They will be collecting monetary donations and gift cards, which will be distributed to local families in need, making their holidays a little brighter.
In addition to financial contributions, the #friendswhogive volunteers will also accept non-perishable food items for the Faith Mission Food Pantry. Your donations will provide essential support to those who may be struggling during this festive season.
#friendswhogive was founded to instill the importance of giving back and that giving to others can be just as rewarding as receiving. This event is not only about giving back but also about teaching our children that it is in giving that we receive. Helping others fosters empathy, compassion, and a sense of belonging in our society, which is what we aim to pass on to future generations of Mineola residents.
#friendswhogive would like to invite everyone in the Mineola area to come out, donate, and join them in spreading joy and kindness. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference and helps to strengthen our community ties.
