Four talented students from The Wheatley School, part of the East Williston Union Free School District, have earned the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents at the prestigious Art League of Long Island as part of this year’s Advanced Placement Exhibition.
Seniors Yianna Philippou, Maeve Dearborn, and Samantha Jacknis, along with junior Allison Belaks, have had their exceptional work selected for display in the exhibit, which runs from March 8 to March 22. These students, currently enrolled in AP 2D Design and AP Drawing classes, have dedicated themselves to developing their artistic skills, and this exhibition provides a well-deserved platform to celebrate their creativity.
The AP Exhibition is designed to inspire young artists by providing them with an opportunity to showcase their work alongside peers from across Long Island. It also serves as an encouragement for younger students within the district to pursue their artistic passions.
